Choreography
Katarina Smith is developing her choreographic eye as she harbors new opportunities to work with different groups of dynamic dancers. She enjoys exploring themes of humanity and individualism in her choreography, allowing the dancers to pull from their personal experiences and pushing the audience to relate through their own perspectives.

A woman alone is a force of power, but when society works to lift women up, an infinite amount of strength is recognized. This piece is an all-women’s piece, inspired by the power of lifting each other up. This piece is named “Taking Off” because it represents the movement and realization that when women are empowered, the whole world will benefit.
